Arthritis primary diagnosis up by 17% in 5 years across NHS England hospital admissions

Arthritis remains a significant disorder that accounts for c0.7 million (FCE's) patients being treated per year.
This is a key condition when trying to understand your local NHS hospital performance.
Increasing 45% (216,000 FCE's) over the last 5 years, and less prevalent in males than females (28%-62% split), treatment is predominantly as a Daycase (86%) with an average length of stay of 7.2 IP nights for the 14% treated as an Inpatient
